Ownership
Was it your idea?
Did you expand the original idea into an even 10x bigger idea by coming up with lots of great sub ideas?
Did you make a great strategy and execution plan for the same? And did you keep iterating upon it every week?
Did you hire a great team for the same?
Did you ensure great world class execution? (Speed and Quality both)
Did you have sleepless nights when growth was not happening? Did you do 100s of optimisations to ensure it does? Did you take full accountability of growth?
Did you consistently scale it for months and years and made it into a mammoth?
Framework of ownership. The more line items of the above you own in a project, the more ownership you took. The more ownership you took, the more credit you’re going to get. The more you’re going to feel satisfied. The more you’re going to be empowered as a creator. The more confidence you will feel.
Start with a small idea. And then OWN the entire process above and scale it. Then repeat the same with a bigger idea and so on. Someday making a colony on Mars won’t look that difficult if you just keep owning stuff and playing a bigger game every time.
I love this series of short powerful posts. I usually end up reading these after a long day & feel energized when I read this.
